Our team consists of 3 friends who started building Phantom Pacer as an engineering senior capstone assignment. The one distance runner on the team helped sell the idea of building a track pacing system that secretly he hoped to use for himself. Once the project was complete we pitched our product at a business pitch competition and secured first place! That night our dream of making Phantom Pacer was born. Immediately after we walked off the stage word spread quickly about our product and we started to build our company. Today, we expect to sell/rent 6 systems by 2026 and are well on our way to have Phantom Pacer be staple at track meets across the U.S.!

Our product is a string of 400 light units that can be remotely controlled through a custom built software platform. Our system can have multiple pace lights with their own colors and the pace can even be changed during the race if necessary. Our entire physical and digital system was created in house by our team!
